She is considered one of Hollywood’s most talented and multi-faced performers. She possesses the theatrical insight and instinct of only the most sophisticated of Shakespearean actors. She dances like the wind and sings with the sincerest of vocal precision and tone.

But more than any of that, she is respected, admired, and cherished by her colleagues, friends, family, and countless fans as one of the sweetest, most adorable human beings to grace the planet.

“Adorable.”

That’s it.

There’s just no other single word to best describe the remarkable (there’s another one!) Caryn Richman.

In the history of the entertainment industry, Richman is best known as the star of The New Gidget, one of the last great TV sitcoms ever produced. Originally airing in the mid-1980s, The New Gidget, to this day, retains the charm and essence of what a television family situation comedy should be.

Based on the original Gidget novel by Frederick Kohner, and inspired by the various big and small screen editions in the Gidget universe, The New Gidget, which co-starred Dean Butler (of Little House On The Prairie) nearly single-handedly saved from distinction the traditional family sitcom format.

Shortly after The New Gidget ended, Richman also became best known for her association with one of pop culture’s other most joyfully-influential franchises: The Brady Bunch.

Beginning with the 1988 TV-movie, A Very Brady Christmas, and continuing on with the dramedy, The Bradys, and more, Richman played Nora Brady, a.k.a. the nurturing nurse Mrs. Greg Brady, opposite the adult version of Barry Williams’ former TV teen sensation turned television physician.

Richman’s lengthy and diverse list of credits includes one of Broadway’s acclaimed productions of the musical, Grease, and the TV soap opera, Texas (in which she portrayed Elena Dekker. Her many guest-star appearances include some of television’s most beloved classic TV series, such as Matlock, and Jake And The Fatman.

Richman’s most recent prestigious work includes the feature film, Somewhere In Queens, the TV-mini-seres, Keeping Up With The Joneses, the TV-movie, Deceived By My Mother-in-Law, the TV-series, The Potwins, and more.

Behind-the-camera, and off-stage, Richman is dedicated to several charitable causes, including the rescue of abandoned, mistreated, and debilitated animals.

In short, Hollywood — and the world — is clearly a better place because of the vibrant and generous heart and soul of the actress — the stellar human being — known as Caryn Richman.
