Ego, Humility, and Balance

We are all proud of our accomplishments. Or at least we should be…in so measure. But as with all things, moderation is the key.
Balance is always the key to processing whatever measure of zeal we have with or share about any particular success in life, be it achieving a particular goal or even making a new friend.

Truth is, we all get excited about certain life achievements and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that…as long as we can, at least at some point, step back, take a beat, and observe and embrace it all with, again, a level of balance.
It’s also important to not only be excited about our own accomplishments but to also be enthusiastic about the success of others. And more than that, it’s even better to be the reason others succeed…to contribute to their success…to be happy for the positive victories of our fellow human beings…especially if those victories somehow contribute to the world community in some positive way.

Point is again, it’s all about balance, my friends. Balance, and loving-kindness, and generosity.
