A Tried and True Method To Success in Life and Career
We all admire the confident people of the world.
We all want to be the confident people of the world.
And there’s a way to do and be both.
I do it every day.
Even when I’m down, I’m feeling up and make the best of my day.
And in the process, I toot my own horn.
And you should, too.
Because if you don’t, others might or might not.
So, that just leaves you.
And you can always depend on you.
When you let yourself depend on you — and don’t listen to anybody’s bunk.
I never do that.
For years, people have been telling me I can’t do this, and I can’t do that.
I just look at them, let ’em talk — and then go do whatever the heck I want to do.
As long as you’re not causing any kind of harm to anyone, you’re good to go.
And that means, good to go crazy in promoting yourself…
…or reaching out to those who can help you with your career.
…or finding the guts and the nerve to finally call up your crush, and ask ’em to dinner.
I mean, come on, man!
How long do you think you’ve got?!
Whether or not you believe in karma or reincarnation (and I do, by the way), the one thing that matters most in life, that’s for sure, is THIS life.
So, go for all the gusto you can, Babe.
Do what you gotta’ do.
And don’t wait.
And if you think you gotta’ wait, ask yourself:
“Wait for what?”
Wait to win the lottery?
Wait until you feel “comfortable?”
And who the heck says you gotta’ feel comfortable?
This is a broken world, k?
I mean, come on again, man!
Have you seen the world recently?
It needs your courage.
It needs your boldness and your beautifulness.
It needs you to let go — and let yourself at it.
What the heck do you have to lose?
You can worry about your pride when you’re laughing all the way to the bank after you found the courage to follow through with a professional risk that everyone told you not to pursue; or after you end up marrying the love of your dreams because you found the guts to ask ‘em out for that bite to eat.
Yeah, yeah — people may tell you that you may at times be biting the hand that feeds you.
But that’s their problem, not yours.
In fact, anyone who stops you from pursuing any good goal in life, or comes up with any kind of lame excuse for you not to do something that you feel compelled to do, especially and, particularly if reaching that objective is going to bring joy and light and love into the world — don’t listen to those naysayers.
Most likely, yep — they’re just jealous.
Uh, uh — that’s right:
So, just flip ’em the bird — and move forward with utter joy — and be brave — follow your heart — and your dreams.
And more than anything, don’t listen to anybody’s bunk.
Now, go ‘get ‘em!
