I’m Grateful for “Going Back”
A Precious Memory of Mom and One of Her Dearest Friends
Before my mother, Frances Turri Pilato passed away back in May of 2008, a dear friend of hers had died. Her name was Frances Lacagnina. She was better known as Red (because of her red hair), and she was 86 years of age. She and my mom grew up together on Erie Street, “the old neighborhood,” in my hometown of Rochester, New York.
