“Love is the Ultimate Law of Life” — Especially When It Comes to the Homeless

On Sunday, November 12th, I am volunteering with my church group to help feed and clothe the homeless. The name of the program is “Wraps of Love,” with a focus on gathering sweaters, jackets, and coats for the less fortunate. As I was going through my clothes to see which of my items to give away, this “fortune cookie” message fell out of the pocket of one of my coats:

“Love is the Ultimate Law of Life.”

May each of us stay warm and safe this winter, as we do what we can for the homeless, and hungry, most of whom have no place to sleep other than the cold, hard ground.

At church one day last week, a pertinent quote was mentioned. “If it’s in your closet, and you’re not wearing it, it belongs to the homeless.”

Please take that into consideration, and donate your “not-worn” clothes to the homeless in your area.

Meanwhile, too, let’s all pray for peace and comfort around the world and in our own neighborhoods and communities; where we live, work, and play.

Let’s please each choose to BE the peace we seek, for indeed, just as this old fortune cookie message reminded me today, “Love is the Ultimate Law of Life.”

Blessings to All.
