Never Listen to Anyone Who Starts the Conversation with, “You gotta be realistic”
“You gotta be realistic.”
I’ve heard that malarky for years.
“You’ll never get into college, Herbie J”
“You’ll never become an NBC Page.”
“You’ll never get on ‘General Hospital’!”
“You’ll never meet Elizabeth Montgomery.”
“You’ll never get The Bewitched Book published.”
“You’ll never get your own TV show.”
Yada, yada, yada.
The thing is, I went on to do ALL of those things and much more.
So, never listen to anyone’s malarky about being “realistic.” Their intentions may be good, but they automatically think negatively when they say “realistic.”
However, in my “reality,” I think only with a positive attitude and completely ignore anything that is not that, including people.
And in the process, I embrace and see into fruition my wildest dreams.
Blessings to All.
