THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING CLEAN

A Pathway that Helps with Your Health

This is a delicate topic, but I address it because I care and because it’s important to the well-being of every individual on the planet.

So, here it goes: Please be clean.

In addition to respecting and following the individual medical guidelines of our personal physicians, regularly exercising, and carefully monitoring what we eat and drink on a daily basis, one of the most effective and easiest ways to help stay healthy is to be hygienically sound. And I’m not talking about those who are in Third World countries who do not have access to soap and water on a regular basis, and to those in this country who do not have regular access to soap and water, I am talking about those who are physically and economically able to take a shower with soap and water every day; those who have access to washer and dryers to order to do their laundry at least once a week.

Germs and some diseases feed off of filth and dirt and grime.

So, please always be sure to wear a clean pair of clothes, under and over, every day. And yes, wearing the same pair of jeans once or twice in a row is acceptable. But after that? No. Throw ’em in the washer.

As to the home environment:

Please dust and clean and vacuum your home at least every other day, especially in places like the kitchen and the bathroom.

The point is this: soiled clothing, bodies, and homes do absolutely nothing for anyone’s health.

My family was not wealthy. But our bodies, our clothes, and our home were always clean. These things were a priority. And they should be for everyone who has access to soap and water on a daily basis.

Again — I say this because I care. Exercise, listen to your doctors, watch what you eat and drink, keep your home clean, and shower with soap and water every day.

And as an extra tidbit: Always look your best when you go out in public. Not only do you never know who you’re going to run into, but it’s a matter of self-respect.

Blessings to All — for a full, healthy, and clean life!
