Utilize Discretion With Shared Thoughts and Images On Social Media
The Positive Way To Post
What we focus on, expands. Concentrate on the good, and things get better. Concentrate on the negative, and things get worse. That’s why I always try to post positive thoughts on FB (and other social media outlets). You’re not gonna’ hear about any past or present negative experiences; I’m not gonna’ post “accident,” or “in the hospital” photos.
Quite frankly, in my opinion, those images and kinds of sharings are just too gruesome and graphic. They also should be nobody else’s business, and they’re just straight-out way too much information.
But most importantly, posting such images and thoughts just gives a negative situation too much power. That’s why I like to focus on the positive.
As I have said in many previous posts, it’s not as though I don’t swear, get angry, disappointed, stub my toe, etc. And yes, I sometimes gripe about choosing the right dentist or doctor.
But beyond the trifle challenges of life, seriously…no one really needs to see anybody’s graphic images of a visit to the hospital or the dentist. That should be a private matter. Some things just really don’t need to be shared…on Facebook…or anywhere else.
